The Bar

If you can get past the inevitable 'I'll meet you at The Bar at 8' / 'Which bar?' / 'No, The Bar...' conversation, you're halfway there with this longstanding Chorlton favourite. It pulls in pint-nursing ale connoisseurs and Badly Drawn Boy-styled 30-somethings. Oh, and Badly Drawn Boy himself. The nooks and crannies give it a cosy atmosphere, the jukebox is an excellent feature and there's outdoor seating – though this does get pretty rammed. To top it all off, there's a wide choice of beer and continental lager on tap.
