The Beech Inn

Pleasingly for arty types, The Beech provides a snapshot juxtaposition of old and new. The old-timers nestled peacefully in the corners contrast sharply with a younger, chavvier brigade. Weekends you'll find bumper-to-bumper, loud and lairy Bills and Barbaras in the back room, while on weekdays, you're more likely to see old men and dogs asleep over a pint of mild. Outdoor seating front and rear (though this is definitely smoker territory, so you'll need to be an early bird). No nonsense, no frills, and definitely no cats.
