Sankeys
Despite an extensive refurb in 2006, Sankeys' dance venue crown seems to have been slipping of late. A plethora of shiny new clubbing temples have sprung up in Manc recently, tempting the weekend faithful away, along with a couple of long-standing resident DJs. The buzz and musical excellence of old seems to have packed up and left with them; hiring instead BB's Kate Lawler as a replacement. Still, it's a must-do for any self-respecting clubber – especially as a trip to the toilets is no longer reminiscent of that Trainspotting scene.
