Rain Bar
Click on to Google Maps. Look up Great Bridgewater Street – good. Next opportunity you get on a sunny day, with no distraction or diversion, head straight for the Rain Bar. Interestingly enough, considering its rather pessimistic title, this place is one of the best places to spend a warm, dry afternoon. It has one of the city centre's best beer gardens, serenely overlooking the canal. The quality of food, drink and service (which are all good) are rendered somewhat irrelevant as you'll be too busy admiring the view.
