Friendship Inn
Rather like a dodgy, slightly smelly old uncle at a children's birthday party, archetypal 'old man pub' The Friendship Inn nestles itself somewhat incongruously among the bright lights and revelry of Fallowfield's bursting student district. Despite this, it continues to attract students and locals alike, who all enjoy its good food, cheap drinks, and large beer garden. What's more, if there's a match on, it's fun to watch passers-by jump at the building-shaking roars emanating from inside when the contrary team concede a goal.
