Prohibition

The idea of being the little sister to The Living Room conjures up quite a list of synonyms: pretentious, house music, expensive, arrogant, wannabe gangsters, wannabe it-girls, scantily-dressed women, badly-dressed gents, breast augmentation... But none apply at Prohibition. On the contrary: opulent, classy, good music, very good cocktails, imaginative decor, well-trained bartenders, quiet toilets. Why visit the nightmare strip of Deansgate when this lies down a side street? Though watch your step, it isn't big on lightbulbs.
