Mai Bai Sushi Deli
Mai Bai Sushi Deli claim that every time you eat something you've never experienced before, you add 75 bonus days to your life. Itchy recommends you opt for one of their pic 'n' mix sushi rolls, Japanese salads, soups or noodle dishes rather than tackling, say, a bristly boar scrotum or deep–fried kangaroo wang. Don't be put off by the fact that the building's located just off Albert Square, and thus buried in Manchester's centre of power; Mai Bai is off-the-wall quirky as well as office-lunch worky. There's a kooky selection of books to browse through while you brandish your chopsticks, and the specialist chefs will even indulge your own freaky ideas: they'll slice 'n' dice bespoke morsels on demand if you can't spot the maki or nigiri combo that you fancy. Forget the bodged stodge and pre–packed crap next time you need a nibble, and try Bai for something of-fish-ially fresh and healthy instead.
