Jodrell Bank Science Centre and Arboretum
Telescopes: no longer used only for spying on your neighbours. Jodrell Bank is home to Manchester University's telescope. They use it for looking at planets, stars and probably not for watching next-door's Sky TV. Now, you too can pretend to be a physicist. Don a lab coat, take the guided tour and tut obnoxiously when someone mentions that Pluto is no longer a planet. There's also a collection of Malus and Sorbus in the grounds. We don't really know what they are though, although they sound quite dirty and something you should probably wear wellies for.
