The Bridge
Until recently, it was the finest Gastropub in town, but it's recently been taken over by the company behind The Brunswick on Piccadilly, so who knows what the future holds? Unpretentious and honest, if a little pricey, this pub is located and named after a catastrophic bridge collapse in 1831. Cheery. If they take the locally-sourced black pudding off the menu, there'll be riots in the streets of Manchester. Or there should be. Not that we are encouraging rioting, maybe just severe tutting.
