Pevrill of the Peek
This pub looks as though it has been plucked from the Cotswolds and bizarrely dropped in the middle of a road in Manchester. The green tiles are almost impossible to miss as you walk down Great Bridgewater Street. The public area surrounds the bar itself, which is right in the middle of the pub, creating a fairly intimate atmosphere. The crowd's far younger than you would expect and it's convenient for lots of other venues if you want to meet up somewhere more rural before moving onto those new fangled bars. Pool and table football but not much elbow room.
