The Mark Addy
Imagine you've got big hair, gold jewellery and are aboard a cruise ship. Glance to your left as you descend the stairs holding onto the brass handrail and you'll see water gently rippling through smoked glass windows. Welcome aboard the luxurious lounge bar Mark Addy. The beer gardens stretch for miles – well, metres anyway – along the bank of the River Irwell, and even have little sheltered alcoves in which you can shelter from the Manchester monsoon. It's also the sister bar to Dukes 92 and therefore serves those smashing cheese platters.
