Dog & Partridge

If you're sick of café bars with bright lights and too much chrome, take refuge in the Dog. It's a proper pub, with the usual ebb and flow of crowds making it relaxed during the week and busy at the weekends. Guaranteed to grate your nerves, there's a 'hilarious' quiz-master on Wednesdays, but it's not like Didsbury's quiz central, so make the most of it. If you don't win there's a large barrel of monkey nuts in the corner to help yourselves from and they also make good ammunition for the quiz-master. Houses some of the best ales and worst lagers in the world.
