Dry Bar
Once voted "The 4th Coolest Thing to Have Ever Happened" by The Face, Dry was opened by New Order in 1989. Now a Manchester institution, immortalised in the days of Madchester, the connections with all things hip are endless. Although where's cool and where's not in the bar world changes on a weekly basis, Dry's managed it for ten years and it's pretty safe to say that it will continue to be one of the places to go. 'Eyes Down', just launched for Fridays, and Saturday nights 'Eardrum' still pack 'em in. The dress policy is the effortlessly cool look, although it's not compulsory to shoe gaze. By the way, Dr Livvys is the café within Dry and serves great food during the day.
